Canadian Dental Care Plan

At Wentworth Family Dental, we believe that everyone should have access to quality dental care. We are pleased to participate in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), a federal program designed to help eligible Canadians access essential dental services.

If you do not have private dental insurance, the CDCP may help reduce the cost of your dental care. Our team is happy to answer general questions about the program and help you understand how your coverage may apply to your treatment.

You may be eligible for the CDCP if you:

• Do not have private dental insurance
• Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000 per year
•  Are a Canadian resident for tax purposes
•  Have filed your income tax return for the previous year

Some individuals who receive dental benefits through another government program may also qualify. Depending on the program, benefits may be coordinated to help reduce gaps in coverage.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan can help make dental care more accessible, but it is important to understand that not all dental services are covered.

Depending on your household income, you may be responsible for a co-payment, and certain treatments may require preauthorization before they can be completed.

Before beginning treatment, our team will review your coverage information and discuss any costs that may not be covered by the plan so you can make informed decisions about your oral health.

To apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, you may need:

• Your Social Insurance Number, if available
• Proof of income
•  Your full legal name and date of birth
• Your home and mailing addresses
• Information about any other government dental programs you receive
• Your most recent tax return and Notice of Assessment
